With a history spanning more than two thousand years, acupuncture has evolved from an ancient medical system into a globally recognised and widely practised form of healthcare. Rooted in traditional medicine and refined through the centuries, it continues to develop alongside modern scientific research, with a growing evidence base supporting its role within integrative and complementary medicine.
In an age where healthcare can feel increasingly fast-paced and fragmented, many people are drawn to acupuncture for its measured, restorative approach. Rather than targeting symptoms in isolation, acupuncture works with the body as an interconnected whole, supporting its innate capacity for healing, regulation, and balance.
As interest grows in natural, non-pharmaceutical and more preventative approaches to health, acupuncture has become one of the most widely used complementary therapies in the UK. It is valued not only for its effectiveness across a wide range of conditions, but also for the depth of attention it provides – creating space for care that feels considered, individual and deeply attuned to the person as a whole.
Who can benefit from Acupuncture?
Everyone! Acupuncture can benefit people of all ages and backgrounds. It is effective for a wide range of conditions, either as a stand-alone therapy or alongside conventional Western medicine.
I have a special interest in male and female fertility, as well as gynaecological issues including irregular or absent periods, PMS, endometriosis, and PCOS. I also support women through perimenopause and menopause. As a member of the Acupuncture Fertility Network (AFN), I continually update my knowledge in the rapidly evolving field of natural and assisted conception, including IVF.
In addition to reproductive health, I work with clients experiencing insomnia, digestive issues, chronic conditions, headaches, stress and anxiety, fatigue, Long Covid, and more. My care is tailored to each individual, aiming to restore balance and wellbeing across mind and body.
